100th Post
FREMONT, SEATTLE, WA :: To mark the 100th entry on johnandkristie.com, I thought I'd share a few statistics. Since June 2004, over 1100 photos have been posted and more than 26,000 words have been written to chronicle the wonderful life Kristie and I enjoy together. We love being able to look through the website and sharing it with our family and friends. Everyone should have an online photo album!

Nearly 60,000 visitor sessions have been recorded during this time, and the website now averages about 120 visits a day. We have received dozens of kind messages from strangers all over the world. Keep them coming! Whether you're seeking more information on a particular camping spot, tips for taking photos at a concert, where to find vegan egg replacements, or just saying "hi," we enjoy receiving and replying to every message.

I finally enabled the comment system. We hope that will encourage you to share your expertise on post topics. A new counter represents the popularity of posts relative to each other. The ten most popular posts have been: Perfect Vegan Sugar Cookies, The Centipede, Free iPod, Three Fingers, Mt. Pilchuck, Bamboo Fountain, XBOX Mod, Dragonfly Mosaic, Panda Cake and New Years Eve.

Most visitors find the website from Yahoo, MSN and Google. The top non-search engine referrals have been from www.nwhikers.net, www.photoblogs.org, www.elise.com, www.arcadecontrols.com, www.slashfood.com, www.wideangle.ca, www.intherain.org, www.seattlest.com, www.fredmiranda.com and www.seattlecasbah.com. All are great websites, well worth a visit!

2006 is going to be an exciting year for us, and we have many posts to backfill from 2002 and 2003. We hope you'll stay tuned!

Hi there John and Kristie,

Congrats on your 100th post. My missus and I really like your site as it has a great balance: There are the really good photos (you seem to get a warmth into your photography - even the snowshoe walks), and also you two seem to share a lust for life which is contagious. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there,

I really enjoy your website and hope to see more pictures of your adventures and travels.

Thanks for sharing!

p.s. - when will the sherpa midget-tossing pics from last Thursday night be posted?

Thank you, Michael and Keith!

If there are any sherpas or dwarves offended by Jacob's teasing comment, he has kindly offered his URL for your reprisal.

Be gentle, he is a good friend.

Wow, you two have the most amazing website!! I got here looking for the Vegan cookies. I'm making them for Valentines Day. I am so impressed with your pictures and journal of life. Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to share with everyone! You two seem like incredibly wonderful people! God Bless you! Joy

Thank you, Joy!

I'm always looking for an excuse for Kristie and I to make more cookies. Let us know how your batch turns out!

(Belated) congratulations on your 100th post! Your site is a constant source of inspiration. I'm always suprised at how we gravitate to the same locations and subjects. Your entry on Three Fingers alone convinced me to do that scramble every year from here on out! :-) I hope our paths cross some day on one of those hikes... Cheers!

Hello Anne!

Wow, it's great to hear from you! I think you have quite a few people worried about your well-being, as there hasn't been an update to your website in quite a long while.

I hope I'll be able to 'gravitate' to the wonderful locations you feature on your website, and when I do, I hope I'll be able to capture the memory as well as you do with your photography.

Thanks for the greeting!!

Take care,
