TORREY PINES STATE NATURAL RESERVE, CA :: On our way through La Jolla, we stopped at Torrey Pines State Reserve for a sunset stroll along its beautiful beach. The day was still very warm and it felt great to get our toes wet in the surf.
Tall sandstone cliffs, atop which are the rare namesake pines, created a very scenic backdrop along the narrow stretch of sand. We admired the interesting patterns and formations in the rock, which seemed to be glowing in the golden light. As the sun dipped into the ocean, Kristie spotted a pod of bottlenose dolphins racing down the shore. It had to be one of the most magical sunsets ever.
