SEATTLE, WA :: We saw One World Taiko perform today for the International District's 30th Annual Summer Festival. The Japanese drummers were just one of the dozens of events taking place over the weekend. Several streets were closed to traffic and filled with tents selling Pan-Asian crafts and food. Kristie found a Hawaiian shaved ice vendor, and I enjoyed a yummy strawberry bubble tea with black tapioca pearls from one of the many tea shops.

On the stage in Hing Hay Park we watched traditional Cambodian dancing and the energetic Blue Thunder band (the Seahawk's marching band), but the highlight for us was the taiko performance. I used my camera to record a couple videos. The audio quality is pretty good, but the actual video isn't too great. Click on these links to download the clips:
